Code of Conduct

In registering as a member of the Halifax Rugby Football Club Inc. (“Club”) and within the context of the activities of rugby, an individual agrees to take part in a spirit of fair play, honesty and within the rules and regulations of Nova Scotia Rugby, Rugby Canada and the IRB or any other body governing the game of rugby in the Province of Nova Scotia.

 

Each member of the Club is expected to:

 

  1. Compete/participate in a spirit of fair play and honesty.

  2. Compete/participate within the rules of rugby.

  3. Make their best efforts to represent and maintain the good reputation of the Club.

  4. Act in a manner that will bring credit to the rugby community and yourself, both within and outside the competition arena.

  5. Support and respect teammates and other members of the Club, on and off the field.

  6. Refrain from using profane, insulting, harassing or otherwise offensive language in the context of the rugby activities.

  7. Address fellow athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, event organizers, spectators and others associated with rugby in a courteous and respectful manner.

  8. Respect an individual's dignity; verbal or physical behaviours that constitute harassment or abuse are unacceptable.

  9. Ensure the safety of others when participating in rugby activities.

  10. Not provide alcohol or cannabis to under-age individuals or otherwise assist under-age individuals to obtain alcohol or cannabis.

 

By Registering with Halifax RFC, I acknowledge that I have received and reviewed the preceding record, and agree to adhere to this Code of Conduct at all times. My name shall be affixed to this record and constitute my electronic signature, to the same extent as if I had used my written signature.
